Invasive Plant Removal

Effective property land management is essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems, and one of the key practices is removing invasive plants.
These non-native species often outcompete native plants for resources, disrupting local biodiversity and weakening the ecosystem.
By removing invasive plants, we create space for native species to thrive, which in turn supports wildlife, improves soil health, and enhances overall habitat quality.
Prioritizing the removal of invasives allows us to restore the natural balance of the land, ensuring that native plants can flourish and continue to benefit the environment.
This year at CCNC, we plan to take on invasive plant removal section - by - section. Our main issues here are Chinese and Japanese Privet, Nandina, Japanese stiltgrass, and Japanese climbing fern.
We are always looking for knowledgeable volunteers to help with this removal. Please contact ccnaturecenter@gmail.com if you are interested in helping us remove these invasive plants!
